Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv has reviewed the case of Dr. Vadyim Belyanevych, author of «The Scientific and Applied Commentary to the Commercial Procedural Code of Ukraine» against Mr Telipko and "The Centre of Educational Literature" LLC regarding copyright infringement.

As it was reported earlier "The Centre of Educational Literature" publishing house has published «The Scientific and Applied Commentary to the Commercial Procedural Code of Ukraine», indicating Mr Telipko as its author. Said publication was discovered by Dr. Vadym Belyanevych to be a plagiarism of his own commentary, published by "Justinian" publishing house in 2008.

On May 14, 2012, the court ruled in favour of the plaintiff confirming copyright infringement. Dr. Belyanevych's claim to financial compensation was satisfied in full and compensatory damages for moral harm to the plaintiff were partially satisfied by the court. This judgement is being appealed.

VKP's lawyers Yulia Chyzhova and Darya Bogatchuk represented Dr. Belyanevych's interests in this case under the leadership of firm's IP Partner Oleksandr Mamunya.
