Classical Music Concert in Support of Talented Children-Refugees

On October 9th the Fairmont Grand Hotel hosted a concert of classical music performed by talented child musicians, who fled from Crimea and Donbas. Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm partnered up with Fairmont Kyiv to organize this amazing celebration for both children and guests who attended the evening.

6 gifted children performed works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Schubert, Liszt, Paganini, accompanied by the National Ensemble of Soloist "Kyiv Camerata" under the baton of Valery Matyukhin. The evening was led by the Honoured Artist of Ukraine Bohdana Pivnenko, who introduced each child by telling their story. Mrs. Pivnenko has taken these kids under her wing and now thanks to her they have new music teachers, they attend Kyiv's music school and perform at various chamber concerts.

"Classical music performed by young Mozarts breaks all the stereotypes, erases the boundaries of war and conflict, gives people confidence in the peace. For gifted children, who were forced to move to another city, a concert for such a distinguished audience is a real chance," - commented Bohdana Pivnenko.

More than 350 guests with their families and children came out to support young talents who gave everyone a gift of music that is going to warm their hearts long after this magical evening. The room was packed to the rafters, which only proves that people today do appreciate and feel part of the future of the new Ukrainian culture.

This project is a long-term initiative, which aims to unite different stakeholders and help children gain recognition of their talent, both at the national and international level.

"The idea came to us when we first heard these children at a concert at the House of Composers of Ukraine. Today, we gave them a bigger stage, self-confidence and confirmation that their talent is needed today in Ukraine. It's the very least we can do to support young talents from ATO zones," - said Klaudia Shevelyuk, BD Director with Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm.
