IBA reveals arbitration leaders for 2011

The International Bar Association's arbitration committee has named its full panel of leaders for 2011 with Tatyana Slipachuk, Partner, Chair of International Arbitration and International Trade Practice Group, Vasil Kisil & Partners, being appointed a Vice Chair of the Committee.
The committee is co-chaired by Judith Gill QC of Allen & Overy (London) and Mark Friedman of Debevoise & Plimpton (New York). The committee’s remaining eight vice chairs include leading arbitrators from France, Colombia, Germany, Brunei, Switzerland, USA, Singapore and Lebanon.
Speaking at the arbitration committee’s dinner at the IBA annual conference in Vancouver, the committee’s departing co-chair Guido Tawil has specifically focused on IBA’s international activities in arbitration and noted 1st Ukrainian International Сonference “International Dispute Resolution: Ukraine, Russia and CIS countries” that will take place in Kyiv on November 23 and is organised by IBA and Ukrainian Bar Association.
Commenting on her appointment to the IBA’s Arbitration Committee Tatyana said: “I am honoured to be a part of this highly reputable and respected team of legal professionals from all over the world. I expect that this achievement will contribute to increasing the quality of international arbitration services provided in Ukraine”.
